Tees Valley Unlimited (TVU) hosted a Knowledge Share event to provide an opportunity for attendees to learn more about the results from our recent technical pieces of work by AMEC Foster Wheeler, including design and cost estimates.
TVU is the Local Enterprise Partnership working with a cluster of industries, with a shared vision to establish Teesside as the go-to location for future clean industrial development, by creating Europe’s first CCS equipped industrial zone. The project’s four anchor schemes are major employers in Teesside and include SSI Steel, Lotte Chemical, BOC and GrowHow. They are joined by National Grid and NEPIC, which represents the Teesside process industry.
TVU has engaged Pale Blue Dot Energy, Amec Foster Wheeler and Societe Générale Corporate & Investment Banking to help develop a series of business cases for deploying industrial CCS in the Teesside cluster and make recommendations for a future funding mechanism. This work is expected to be completed by summer 2015.
